Situated inside the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, Penguin Island is home to a colony of little penguins, the largest population of birds in Western Australia. Regular ferries carry tourists to and from the island, and access is also available by private boat. Only a small population of captive penguins can be viewed, but the island offers many other sights, including nesting seabirds and a large colony of pelicans, numbering nearly 500 birds. You can also swim, snorkel, take kite-boarding lessons, join kayaking tours, or simply enjoy a picnic. Remember to take your own food and drink, as none can be purchased on the island.   Wir haben die große Tour unternommen, da wir auch Delphine und Seelöwen sehen wollten. Unsere Wünsche wurden wirklich erfüllte wir haben sowohl Delphine in Aktion gesehen, als auch Seelöwen beim Sonne...  more »

  We did the big tour because we also wanted to see dolphins and sea lions. Our wishes were really fulfilled we have seen both dolphins in action, as well as sea lions while sunbathing and swimming. It was a really great experience and a wonderful day. The crew on board was also super nice and helpful, and the information about nature and the animals was really interesting. Small minus point, we were relatively late because we are only down from the boat from the tour, so we were relatively far behind in the feeding and saw almost nothing. We actually expected to see wild penguins on the island, but unfortunately that was not the case. But the day was nevertheless an unforgettable experience, definitely recommended.

  This Island is seriously the best place to visit. Penguins look so damn cute. But the ferry charges are little too high. Other than that everything is so cool. I love this place

  A very small and isolated island but very beautiful. The views from this island are stunning and so is the water around it. A lovely place to swim and have a picnic.
