Step into the world of medieval Prague with a stroll across pedestrian-friendly Charles Bridge. Completed in 1402, the bridge replaced an older structure and became a major commercial link between eastern and western Europe. For nearly four centuries, this Gothic structure was also the only connection between the city's old town and the growing residential neighborhoods on the other side of the Vltava River. The bridge rests on 16 arches and spans 621 m (2,037 ft), featuring a continuous alley of 30 statues depicting saints venerated at the turn of the 18th century, when they became the structure's main decorative elements. A must see in Prague. Too crowded, but worth it. Try to get there early in the morning, and don't touch the statues. more »

A must-see attraction in Prague. Charles bridge guarantees beautiful views in every direction of the city. It acquires a different charm with each temperature and weather condition. Very romantic in the evening for couple walks. On the east side you can visit the tower, after purchasing a fairly cheap ticket, from the top of which a spectacular panorama is visible. Recommended.

Located in the heart of Prague is this beautiful Bridge known as Charles Bridge. It connects one part of the city with the another but it has more significance than merely connecting the two parts of the city. It is a major tourist attraction and every day thousands of tourists flock to get a view of the city from this bridge. The views are quite beautiful in the evening or at night as well. In the evening and night the bridge is illuminated by a number of mechanical lamps from old time and it gives a representation of a story book tale. I recommend visiting this place at around 5 pm so that you can enjoy night and day view. Spend some time around as well as there are number of good coffee and candy shops.
