Le Capitaine Fracasse reviews
We booked this dinner to celebrate our engagement. The food on the menu seemed good - a choice of Salmon or Chicken, along with starters and a dessert. We paid €176 for the dinner. We boarded the... more »
Decided to go on this dinner cruise mainly because they served vegan options. They have an entire “plant based” menu that is Vegan. We had a starter, entree, and dessert. It was all great. Our server.... more »
I would recommend taking a boat cruise without dinner and saving your money for a nice meal on land. The path that this boat takes is very pleasant, starting on a small island right next to the Eiffel tower and proceeding past all of the most interesting landmarks along the Seine. There were plenty of opportunities for pictures from inside an enclosed dining area or a rooftop deck. If that were all that this cruise were and the cost reflected it, I would recommend it wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, the dinner part of the dinner cruise did not live up to the views. The appetizers were very bland and the entrees were either overcooked (duck) or undercooked (fish). The desserts were very tasty, which helped us recover from the disappointment of the rest of the meal. Additionally, it was clear the entire time that they cared more about getting our money than giving us an enjoyable time. There is no tap water available for free, and there are roaming photographers who will put you through a series of poses, then tried to charge an insane forty euro for four pictures. While this cruise is advertised and priced as a romantic dinner, the other guests certainly didn't get the memo. We had dressed up for a nice night out, so were disappointed to see a lot of shorts and T-shirts, and couldn't help but hear large tables talking loudly. So, save your money and find a cruise that will show you all the sights and let you take some good pictures along the Seine without a mediocre dinner.
Fantastic experience overall. I had my wife on her first European cruise dinner. The cruise was very nice, well maintained and decorated from the inside, impressive atmosphere, nice food and service and that too with view of the riverside Paris and its monuments and landmarks ; quite ideal for a dinner with your every loved ones.
