  • My sister, Dad and I went on the tour of Saint-Germain with Mariamelia. The tour was amazing regardless of the off and on rain. It was just the 3 of us with Mariamelia and we couldn't have asked for.....  more »

  • We met our new friend and guide Mattias at Le Petit Jacob. We sampled a fresh Beaujolais Rose and aperitif while we got to know the rest of the small tour group. The next stop was a artisan Boulanger to ooh and aaah at the marvelous official French bread and arm ourselves with a baguette. We the strolled to a fantastic cheese shop and were given a lesson in French cheese. Oh la la! So good! We learned we love Napoleon and Compte besides Brie and Roqufort! We also had a taste of the official ham of Paris. On to a fabulous olive oil shop for tasting of magnificent Mediterranean olive oils. What a range from buttery to grassy. Now to sweeten the deal. We visited a fresh cream puff shop and a shop the sells a cake made famous because it is loved by Brigitte Bardot. Both lovely, light and fresh! We had such fun with Mattias talking about and learning about the French perspective on food. Au revoir mon ami! Merci mille fois!
