The Musée de la Sculpture en Plein Air is a collection of outdoor sculpture located on the banks of the Seine in the 5th arrondissement, Paris, France. The museum opens free of charge.

The museum was created in 1980 in the Jardin Tino Rossi to display sculptures from the second half of the twentieth century. It stretches some 600 meters along the Quai Saint-Bernard beside the Jardin des Plantes, between Place Valhubert and Gare d'Austerlitz to just east of Pont de Sully. The museum currently contains over fifty sculptures, including pieces by Alexander Archipenko, Jean Arp, César Baldaccini, and Constantin Brâncuși, as well as the following pieces:

  • Located within jardin di rossi, (along the seine), is this rather impressive (free). Open air sculpture park, it was quite fun during a leisurely walk, seeking out the many sculptures, from there it.....  more »
  • A great space full of wonderful sculpture, we stumbled actoss during an Autumn walk along the Seine, full of great pieces. Groups of all ages dancing and using tjisb soace, it's very much alive.  more »

  • Some nice sculptures by the river, in a quiet location. Unfortunately, the park itself was not well maintained.
  • This is a fabulous, little known sculpture garden, thus not overcome with crowds of tourists. Small and therefore manageable; easy to get to and makes great setting for memorable photos. Easy to combine with a visit to the Museum of Natural History, which is nearby.
