Translated simply as the wine museum, Musee du Vin de Paris (Wine Museum of Paris) is in former limestone quarries in the center of Paris. Explore three vaulted cellars on the property, which the Friars of Passy used in the 16th and 17th centuries to store their wine. These cellars now serve as the museum's restaurant, so you can enjoy a delicious meal accompanied by a glass of fine wine. You also can partake in wine tasting, fine cheese, and charcuterie. The exhibits feature more than 2,000 pieces covering the tools of viticulture, winemaking, and wine tasting. The oldest date back a century before Jesus Christ; the most recent is from the 19th century. Wax figures, including Napoleon, Pasteur, and Balzac, depict objects in the collection as well. • Nothing special. We wanted to do the wine tasting as well. But the personal apparently did not understand us. We were given just a glass of wine that goes with the museum entrance ticket.
  • We were there at a company event for wine and cheese tasting. The somelier was very friendly and helped the team interact. The wine and cheese was great and the baguettes kept coming in. Then we had a tour of the museum followed by a delicious meal. The location is great and you can take a stroll by the Eiffel tower, in about 5 minutes. Highly recommended!
