Housed in a 19th-century mansion decorated in period style, Musee Jacquemart-Andre features the paintings, sculptures, furniture, and antiques collected by Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart. Your visit to the mansion includes five sections, each with its own ambiance and works of art. The State Apartments reflect their fascination with the French school of painting and 18th century decorative art. The informal Apartments are decorated in a refined style, while the Private Apartments on the ground floor give the museum the feel of a family home. The Winter Garden shows off the art of entertaining, while the Italian Museum features sculpture, as well as Florentine and Venetian galleries. Musee Jacquemart-Andre Reviews
Un écrin discret et assez méconnu, pour des œuvres à couper le souffle que vous ne verrez plus nulle part ailleurs . Courrez voir la collection Alana. more »A discreet and relatively unknown setting, for breathtaking works that you will not see anywhere else. Come and see the Alana collection.
La dimora ottocentesca di due coniugi grandissimi collezionisti di opere d’arte...ci hanno “costretto” a questa visita! Dimora bellissima ed opere imperdibili (segnalo, a titolo di esempio il San Gior... more »The nineteenth-century home of two very large spouses collectors of works of art... they "forced" us to this visit! Beautiful house and unmissable works (mark, for example, the St. George and the dragon by Paolo Uccello!!!) ... In fact, the works on display show us objects and paintings from very different countries and periods, some little known not to fans! The exhibition, unfortunately, is temporary Alana (two other collector spouses !!!). Another important piece, a fresco of Tiepolo with the visit of Henry III to Villa Contarini... Ultimately there are many works that recommend a visit to this museum.
Lovely museum, we went there to see Hamershoi and all the other expositions. The building is gorgeous and worth seeing, staff was very, very nice and they have some really nice collections. We enjoyed it a lot and I hope to visit again and to learn a bit more about the history of this place
A fabulous small Museum. Reasonably priced. Without the audio tour, plan on less than an hour. Amazing to see a family mansion preserved. Amazing details from the old wood floors to the ornately painted ceilings.
