Enjoyed this visit very much. We enjoy history and art, and found this a very interesting place. Inexpensive at Euros 6 each. Start on the top floor, and work your way down. Contrary to other reviewers, nobody treated us like we were going to steal anything. We took lots of pictures (no flash) and enjoyed a frappe and a friendly exchange at the simple cafe in the basement. My husband particularly enjoyed the video presentations and the overview of the heroic struggles of the Greek people guarding their ground at the Eastern edge of Europe. Individual stories made the exhibits come alive. Many of the sculptures and reproduction weapons were beautiful/fascinating. We could have watched a couple more videos if they had been available.
Great museum for learning about the earliest conflicts of Greece to those in the recent past. It’s worth stopping along the way to watch several of the short movies to give insight to those not familiar with Greece’s fascinating history.
