The first vineyards were planted in 1906. As the years went by, the vineyards were growing and in 2001 became part of the organic cultivation system. In 2004 a modern winery was set up, where every stage of the vinification from the production to the bottling is done.

    Out of the 3 wineries we visited (Boutari, Doufoulaki, Gavalas) this has the most sophisticated and round wines. Nice tasting with 6 wines and some bread and cheese snacks.

    Amazing expérience in Crete with this wine tasting and visit of the caves. The person was very professional and sympathic with a lot of good advices. The cheese was really tasty and the wines originals.
