    The fountain is beautiful and a piece of history since it's super old. There was some trash in the water though but overall a lovely place on a great little square. A lot of oppertunities to eat or drink something since there are bars and restaurants around. The center is also a lovely place with a lot of (brand)shops and little boutiques.

    The square itself around the fountain is bustling and busy and when in Heraklion one should pop round there to see the fountain and also walk down the little road with all the shops for some shopping. Touristy things for sale. Among other very unique items. The fountain itself is not being maintained well and has deteriorated a lot since my last visit a few years back.
