The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (Greek: Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος) is a complex in the bay of Faliro in Athens which includes new facilities for the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO), as well as the 210,000 m² Stavros Niarchos Park. The Center was designed by architect Renzo Piano and its construction was funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The €566 million project was completed in 2016, and was donated to the Greek state in 2017.

Fantastic modern complex. Short taxi ride from Sygrou Fix metro station, €5 fare. We had a good walk around enjoying the place. Dancing fountains out front every 15 minutes at weekends. Green roof... more »

Visit the lighthouse (viewing platform at the top) for wonderful views of the city and the coast, then walk down the green roof /park, which is full of plants from Attica. Lovely place to wander... more »

Extraordinary place to visit. You can cycle, run and do whatever activities you would like. There's also fitness equipment placed in one spot of the whole foundation. And the best, ping pong tables are there. You can drink your coffee while it's an ideal place for kids to play. Awesome view from the top of foundation's building.

A masterpiece of architecture thought and built with best in class ecological features. Hosting the Greek National Library and the Greek Opera House. The park is a peaceful area for relaxing around the olive trees, enjoy the surrounding views of Athens and discover lots of attractions. Can can also enjoy the indoor restaurant but also several coffee shops with nice terraces. Parking is indoors and comes with a fee. Opera House proposes a nice program. In summer lots of outside events are proposed, like open movie theatre. A must see.
