Madurodam, The Hague

4.2
#1 of 15 in Theme Parks in South Holland Province
Take a condensed tour of Holland at Madurodam, an interactive miniature theme park focused on Dutch cultural traditions and historical sites. This impressive, well-visited park opened in 1952 and features small-scale replicas of the most famous landmarks, cities, and landscapes in the Netherlands. Look for Rijksmuseum, Binnenhof, Port of Rotterdam, tulip fields, windmills, and small recreations of traditional Dutch canal homes. Don't try to count the tiny lights--there are 50,000--in this shrunken city. You'll have better luck with the number of miniature planes stationed at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol replica. Take a look at our The Hague trip planning website to schedule your visit to Madurodam and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • An odd and very beautiful place, where you do not have time to get to know the whole of Holland, you can take a "virtual tour" knowing all the main attractions of Holland, a miniature theme park and is situated in The Hague, less than 1 hours from Amsterdam. It's the best way to interact to find out what makes Holland such a unique country in a matter of minutes. Through multimedia presentations and interactive facilities you will see more relevant Dutch stories such as: The houses of the canals, the cheese markets, the factories of wooden clogs the tulip fields, the windmills and the constructions Impressive as the works of the Delta project. It has a souvenir shop and a great restaurant, bathrooms and multifunctional spaces. The detailing of the miniatures such as: people, boats with tourists bicycles, carts, kitties, trucks making deliveries, firefighter truck extinguishing a fire and many of them, on the move, are more than 5,500 trees in miniatures and 55,000 beds of Spring flowers that helps a lot in the scenic beauty of the park.
