  • Loved touring this museum, especially as I am a sucker for chronological exhibitions. The benefit was the lesson in Hungarian history, as well as the exposure to local art and artists.  more »

  • It has A LOT of things to see. Visit it if you're interested in Hungarian art. Although you'll find big names like Cezanne, the majority is made up of (great) Hungarian artists. I had the luck to visit it during a temporary exhibition by Fortepan and another temporary exhibition on Surrealism. You can also skip the museum and just go to the temporary exhibitions if that's what interests you (the tickets are sold separately).
  • Lots to see and learn. The staff are friendly. Wear comfortable shoes. There's a bit of a lineup around lunch or when it rains. Amazing view from the dome. It's unobscured, and I recommend that you check it out.
