Postulín og aðrir keramik munir eru búnir til á verkstæði við heimili Fanndísar.
Mikill áhugi Fanndísar á fornu handverki og siðum varð til þess að hún fór í nám við keramik, glerperlugerð og glerblástur, sem eru með elstu listformunum og er þeim oft blandað saman við efni úr öðrum listsviðum, ásamt því að vinna verkin með aðferðum og tækni líkt og notuð voru fyrr á tímum í bland við nútíma tækni. The artist Fanndís Huld Valdimarsdóttir
runs the shop Gallery Flói and flame workshop in a house called Gamla Þingborg that is located in Flóahreppur 8 km east of Selfoss just off Highway 1, there she sels her art deisgn and handcrafted glass and ceramic works in the spirit of the artisan.
In the store you will find jewelry made from glass beads manufactured from scratch at the workshop in the store, using a process called flame working, the method is the of little brother of glass blowing, true Icelandic design and handicraft, done from scratch in the fresh country air in Flóahreppur. Porcelain and other ceramic items are made in a workshop at Fanndís home.
The artisans great interest of ancient crafts and customs got her to begin to study the ceramics, glass bead making and glass blowing, 3 of the oldest art forms, and she often mixed it with material from other art fields, as well as working with methods and techniques that were used in earlier times mixed with modern technology.
