The Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum, Bengaluru

4.2
Established in 2001, The Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum offers a chance to learn about humanity's efforts to conquer the skies and explore space. As you arrive in the first major hall, check out the photographs that document the gradual development of aviation throughout history. The second major hall houses a cross-section of airplane engines, including marks like Garrett, Orpheus, and Adour, clearly showing each element's function. After observing all sorts of aircraft models and components on display, try out the motion simulator to experience flying a fighter jet. Besides the showrooms and exhibits, you can also visit the children's play area, herbal garden, orchidarium, and gift shop. • It's good for a quick visit, maybe a tour of 1 hour or so if you are not an enthusiast for planes. You will not miss something incase you cannot cover it.  more »

  • A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bengaluru and wander round some static plane exhibits. The museum isn't exactly modern and the first exhibition hall is full of old photos which are of limited interest. We also forewent the movie in hall 1 and the flight simulator so I can't report back on these. The best thing about the museum was the large number of static aircraft exhibits set in well kept grounds and as we caught the museum at an off-peak time it was a very restful place to spent a couple of hours.
