  • The nice heaven on earth which can not be found in any other places on the earth except Karbala. The tranquility which you are going to experience at that atmosphere is unbelievable and you would not understand that unless you give it a try. People are the kindest while they are at this place. Try to go there at midnight and enjoy the greatest hours of your life.
  • After speaking with Muslim friends I understood that visiting Najaf, and this shrine for some is an experience of a lifetime. The minute you step in there you feel the spirituality, the connection people have with that spirituality and even with each other - ie large groups of families all together. This was the first time in a religious site I was told to remove my eye make up; otherwise, standard, no photos, no shoes - bring as little as possible. I wore a chador. This just captured the holiness of the city, especially in the evening with the prayers blaring and everyone out and about.
