  • Built by Enriquez de Acevedo Earl of Fuentes and governor of Milan in the early 1600s, the fort was destroyed by Napoleonic troops in 1796. Since 2012 the fort has been maintained and operated by the White War Museum in Adamello. Beautiful the panorama of the lake and its mountains that you can enjoy from its stands, the fort is held really well and it is a pleasure to walk inside. To see.

  • Two historic forts, that of Montecchio and that of Fuentes, which allow you to relive two important glimpses of history in the high lake of Como. Perfect excursion for families with children with even a walk of about an hour between one fort and another. From the highest points of the forts, which are located on two small hills, you can enjoy an enchanting view of the high lake, colico and the lower Valtellina and of course the mountains that are all around. Excellent idea of the cumulative ticket and also the tendency of recent years to lengthen the opening periods (in 2019 open daily for eight hours, continuous hours, throughout July and all August) to make these treasures available to tourists. Very helpful, kind and prepared guides. Allow me to break a spear in favour of the guides in front of the excellent service they offer: the ticket office of Fuentes Fort does not have the toilet for the guide that is available there for tourists for eight consecutive hours. I hope we can do something to alleviate this discomfort especially for girls.
