Filled with hundreds of plant species, Heller Garden is an unusual botanical garden with quirky statues and flowers. When you enter, a brochure with a guide is provided. Some of the plants and most of the statues are accompanied by descriptions. You will find cacti, edelweiss, ferns like Osmunda regalis, magnolias, orchids, and much more. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the pathways can be quite steep. Heller Garden is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.
Heller Garden reviews
A very beautiful garden with the odd quirky touch , it’s hilly like most of this area but well worth the effort . more »

Absolutely beautiful garden which is well worth a visit if you are so inclined. The garden is very mature and littered with amazing plants and beautifully designed areas which can take you quite some time to explore. There is a public car park nearby (take change!) And a tiny shop onsite which sells gelato & drinks. I would recommend taking your own bottle of water and enjoying a stroll through the shady nooks & crannies. It's diverse enough to interest not gardeners (and older kids) our two are 11 & 13 and enjoyed it.
Large private garden in Gardonne that has been turned into a very enjoyable garden with art installations. It's probably very personal to it's designer/inspiration and may not appeal to everyone but keep an open mind and enjoy the ride. Pick up a map at the start and follow he numbered plants through the garden The art installations are designated by letters and the map gives their title and designer. In general the garden rises as you go further in a about the top is a very small summer house which sells a limited range of drinks and good. There around six tables where you can enjoy a well earned refreshment and the view. There is lots of shade for a sunny day and my personal highlight was the area around half way up with the spitting monsters ( in reality two heads about 2 metres up which randomly shoot jets of water at each other) and the nearby mist sprays which cool the surrounding air and passing guests. You can get round in about an hour and a half but lingering may be worthwhile.
