Caribe Bay Reviews
One positive about this park is the coding wristband every attendee gets upon entry. It does everything from locking & unlocking your locker to serving as a recorder of any food or drink you purchase while inside the park. Upon leaving, the device is read at the exit where you settle at one time to pay for the day. No having to carry money around while in the park. On the day I visited (early this past August), it was somewhat overcast in the morning with rain off and on. This I'm sure kept a lot of people away from attending. By early afternoon, the rain clouds had gone away and it was partly sunny/partly cloudy with very few people in the park. For food, I patronized a salad bar place behind the wave pool. Because there were so few customers I'm sure I was given an extra large version of their offering and it was VERY good! But that's about the end of the positives... Last summer, I had the good fortune to visit the Siam water park on Tenerife of the Canary Islands. If Siam sets the scale as a 10, the rides at Caribe Bay at most are a five on a 1-to-10 scale. In fact, management at Caribe Bay would do well to road trip to try the rides at Siam. There is a tremendous difference between the two at present and an easy start would be to clone the four snake-named water slides (viper, python, cobra, etc.) and replicate them at Caribe Bay.
We visited Caribe Bay twice, both times for an entire day. It is a beautiful park with a lot of fun slides, mostly with inflatables. The staff is nice and the shows were good. The payment system with the bracelets is really convenient. We advise other visitors to only rent the beds. We had to pick up our valuables at the desk, since the locker opened without us knowing about it. Luckily everything was there.
