The visit of the catacombs is done only with a guide, it is forbidden to enter it alone (and indeed, it is a real labyrinth!). There are several guides, which lead groups according to the spoken language. We had the chance to be only 6 but other groups were + 20! The catacombs are impressive. A huge thank you to our guide, Geoffroy, who was really top, very friendly and who knows how to share his knowledge... Attention to the + frileux, there is 15 degrees

Wir hatten eine Führung in d... more »The catacombs are very interesting. Photography is unfortunately prohibited. You just have a very special atmosphere. A bit creepy, but also very impressive. We had a guided tour in German language and the lady actually spoke good German, so you understood everything. The tour takes about 30 minutes and you get a daring idea of the size of the entire system. Our leader also managed to convey, and to convey, under what conditions all this arose once, and she mentioned at the end that this place was also an expression of Christian charity, which we could use well again today.
