Dating from the 15th century, Mnarani Ruins (Museum) holds the ruins of two mosques. The surrounding village actually dates back to the 14th century and holds numerous tombs. At the site, expect a guard to give you a leisurely tour around the ruins while providing interesting facts about their histories. Also of note here is the site's large baobab tree and a reptile farm that is included in the entrance fee and supports snakes, monitor lizards, and other creatures.   • It's a cool and serene place to often visit. Welcoming guides but the national museums of Kenya should support them.
