#3 of 27 in Parks in Mongolia
Trek through Yolyn Am, a gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan mountains known for its ice field that persists for most of the year. The valley enjoys protection as part of a national park, and also lies within the Gobi desert. Hiking through the narrow gorge, you can admire the dramatic landscape made up of towering cliffs and accentuated by the ice sheets, reaching a depth of several yards depending on the time of year. A variety of wildlife calls the valley home, including eagles, Lammergeier vultures, and the adorable pika. Yolyn Am is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Dalanzadgad Edition.

  • The Valley, named after the twist. The next day the snow does not melt, there is still a eternal thick ice next to the valley, such as the people of the scale, then the ice is large, small people. The valley is steep and timey, and it's nice to walk. I'm still happy when You're walking up to my sister-in-a-time. There are many guests, there are the love of the valley. Don't let go, don't go, walk. Very pushing a must-see spot, the rocks are very steep and very visible. You can have a picnic.

  • I went south from the Dalanzadgad. It's a good tourist spot for hiking. I enjoyed the nature.
