A serene park rich in greenery marks the birthplace of Kim-sung II at Former Residence of Mangyongdae. Once a village, and now a huge park, the site provides you with the glimpse of Korean life and the leader's childhood. The site contains small huts, each of them presenting some historic artifacts, from vases to pictures. You can drink water from the well, which Kim-sung II drank because of its health properties.   • There is a bit of walking from car park but the park is really nice. The attraction itself feels super artificial and not much really to see here, but it is fun to listen to the story by guide who spe...  more »
  • Huge manicured park with a small hut where Kim Il-sung was supposedly born. Whether there used to be houses in this area that had to give way to the park? Questions that probably go unanswered. Taking photos is not a problem here.
