Torreira Beach Reviews
Pensei em almoçar na Torreira e depois fazer praia, mas as opções para almoçar são mais escassas do que imaginei. Conselho: se quiser ir à praia é melhor almoçar antes ou levar almoço...almoçar lá não... more »I thought I'd have lunch at the Torreira and then make a beach, but lunch options are more scarce than I imagined. Advice: If you want to go to the beach you better have lunch before or take lunch... Lunch there didn't seem like a good option.
Through a dirt road that leaves the road to San hyacinth, you leave the car and continue along a barely visible sandy path guided by the roars of the sea. What you find on the other side is a wild, empty beach, and with the Atlantic at your feet. The water is not very bathable, just enough to soak, but you will be alone, at most you will see in the distance some fisherman from the village picking coquinas. Nature in its purest form, absolute disconnection.
I often come here whenever I visit my grandparents in Portugal. I like the boardwalk along the beach. Lots of shops nearby and places to eat. I'm not much of a swimmer or a beach goer in general. Just a warning--the water can feel quite frigid (cold current from the north) and the waves can be strong. The beach has signs everywhere that will signify if it is safe to go in the water. Lifeguards are present in some parts of the beach.
Like all of the beaches on this coast. They are beautiful. Green and clear water. Close to cafes that have beer, mixed drinks and small foods to eat. Would absolutely recommend
