A national park that blossomed from the base of a volcano that is also the tallest mountain in Spain, Teide National Park is the most visited national park in the country. Almost three million visitors have been awed by the 3,718 m (12,198 ft) mountain peak. The remarkable terrain in the park is frequently studied by scientists because of its similarity to the planet Mars. Indeed, you'll notice red soil and strange plant life creating a Martian atmosphere along your walking trails. Visit the park's website to plan a hike and check the weather for your outdoor adventure. To plan Tenerife vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

Teide National Park Reviews
A pesar de que por el viento nos suspendieron la subida en teleférico, mereció la pena visitar esta maravilla de la naturaleza en España. No dudéis en disfrutarla. more »Although due to the wind we were suspended from the cable car climb, it was worth visiting this wonder of nature in Spain. Don't hesitate to enjoy it.
Beautiful countryside and forest areas as well as the lunar landscapes that everyone’s knows. The only downside to the area is the amount of other tourist vehicles trying to stop in the viewing areas ... more »
The moon, Mars and Venus all in one place. Being here feels nothing short of otherworldly. Go to one of the many visitors centers to get a deeper understanding and a higher appreciation of the geological formations you can find here. With the last eruption being about a hundred years ago, you get a real feeling of how you're living on a planet that is alive, dynamic and changing. Easy access by car, just an hour from the coast.
The best experience of my life. Beautiful place which definitely worth the money spent. If you won't be lucky and get the permit to go on the top of Teide, make sure to go at least at the end of the cable car. And if you will be walking on the top, make sure to have enough water (4-5 liters of water per person is not too much), proper walking boots and warm clothes for when you reach the top.
