Founded by the Catholic Monarchs in the late 15th century, the monastery features an elongated nave and two side chambers forming the shape of a cross, and boasts details in both Gothic and Mudéjar styles. Walk the main hall, admiring the 30-m (100-ft) ceilings, or wander through the small, tranquil garden of the cloister. While entrance to the church is free, you must pay a small fee to enter the cloister. • Beautiful architecture. We were here at night, so didn't get a chance to enter, but it was still a sight to behold, and very well lit... Also, lots of little bats flying around outside at night, which was fun to see. The bats don't bother people if you don't bother them. They're just busy catching all the insects that fly around and are drawn to the spotlights used to illuminate the landmarks.
  • Splendid visual experience! A must see in Toledo. Probably the most beautiful monastery I have seen in my life.
