Thousands of colorful flowers at Bloemenmarkt adorn the waterfront of Singel channel. Installed on floating houseboats, the shops offer a large variety of tulips, narcissus, and seeds of numerous plants for creating a home garden. Get a colorful bouquet, or take a walk along the fragrant alley. If you're planning to take some plants out of the country, make sure you have a customs-cleared stamp for export. • I loved the market, lots of seeds for any kind of flowers and plants, just perfect for someone who's into gardening! Of course also a good place to get all the touristy stuff. Our guide warned us though that the prices for all the cafes would be much higher here than in normal non-touristy places and recommended us to search for cafes a bit away from it.
  • It’s a typical tourist trap but still is a fun place to walk around. It’s puzzling why this place is called the ‘floating’ market because it is not the same thing as a floating market as in Bangkok, Thailand. There are lots of vendors selling prepackaged bulbs, silk flowers and souvenirs to take home for your loved ones.
