Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): make a trip to Trevi Fountain, then delve into the distant past at Pantheon, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona.
