City of Romance

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Escape the urban bustle at Canal Grande and Blue Moon. You'll discover tucked-away gems like St Mark's Campanile and Scrovegni Chapel. Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: Pineta di Volano (in Lido di Volano) and Basilica of St. Anthony (in Padua). And it doesn't end there: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, explore the activities along Laguna Veneta, take a stroll through Cannaregio, and see the interesting displays at Doge's Palace.
