Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Constitution Dock and Battery Point Sculpture Trail. Take a break from the city and head to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Explore hidden gems such as Greens Pool and Middleton Beach. Visiting Little Beach and Emu Point will get you outdoors. There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Albany's Historic Whaling Station, explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and examine the collection at National Anzac Centre.

On the 7th (Tue), Head underground at Lake Cave, then Head underground at Jewel Cave, then visit a coastal fixture at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, and finally stroll through Hamelin Bay.
