Get some historical perspective at Acropolis of Athens and Lion Gate. Step out of the city life by going to Corinth Canal and Mount Lycabettus. Step out of Athens with an excursion to Archaeological Site Mycenae in Mycenae--about 1h 30 min away. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Plaka, delve into the distant past at Ancient Agora of Athens, take in the spiritual surroundings of Temple of Hephaestus, and pause for some photo ops at Erechtheion.
