Drive from Lisbon to Leiria in 2 hours. While traveling from Lisbon, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Leiria, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 18°C. You'll have a few hours on the 10th (Mon) to wrap things up before traveling to Porto.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.

Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Sagres.

Though the town of Sagres has roots in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, it is better known by visitors as a peaceful, rugged resort spot with great surfing beaches.

You can drive from Evora to Sagres in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Evora in August, expect nights in Sagres to be a bit warmer, around 23°C, while days are little chillier, around 34°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Lisbon.
