A charming old city originally founded as a Roman colony, Valencia is the country’s third-largest urban center.
On the 16th (Wed), take in the exciting artwork at Botique Museo Lladro, browse the exhibits of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, then examine the collection at Museu Faller de Valencia, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basílica de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, and finally take an in-depth tour of Centre Arqueològic de l'Almoina. Here are some ideas for day two: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de Levante o la Fossa, kick back and relax at Promenade of Calpe, then step into the grandiose world of Castell de Xativa, and finally examine the collection at El Museo Nacional de Ceramica y de las Artes Suntuarias Gonzalez Marti.

Toledo is a World Heritage Site that embodies the complex cultural history of Spain while remaining a forward-moving, modern city.
