Museum-lovers will appreciate The British Museum and National Gallery. Step off the beaten path and head to The Lanes and Jamon Jamon Paella. The country's capital and largest city, Berlin is a diverse urban center boasting a lively nightlife and countless things to do.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen and Memorial of the Berlin Wall. Your inner history buff will appreciate East Side Gallery and Mauermuseum - Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie. There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Pergamonmuseum, explore the historical opulence of Charlottenburg Palace, see the interesting displays at Topography of Terror, and get a sense of history and politics at Reichstag Building.

Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site and Schloss Neuschwanstein will appeal to history buffs. Step out of the city life by going to Partnachklamm and Zugspitze. Get out of town with these interesting Munich side-trips: Schloss Linderhof (in Ettal) and Schloss Hohenschwangau (in Hohenschwangau). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Nymphenburg Palace and admire the striking features of St. Peter's Church.
