Step off the beaten path and head to Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist and Skaros Rock. Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos and Ancient Thera are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Zeus, the master of all gods from Greek mythology, allegedly grew up in a cave on Naxos, a small but fertile island in the South Aegean Sea.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Panayia Ekatondapiliani Cathedral and Plaka Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Kastro and Roman Catholic Cathedral. Take a break from Naxos with a short trip to Matoyianni Street in Mykonos Town, about 1h 30 min away. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Agios Prokopios Beach, explore the ancient world of Portara, wander the streets of Old Town, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Agia Paraskevi.
