Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. Museo Cappella Sansevero and Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte will appeal to museum buffs. Visiting I Faraglioni and Vesuvio National Park will get you outdoors. Take a break from Naples with a short trip to Castello Aragonese d'Ischia in Ischia, about 1h 50 min away. There's still lots to do: explore the ancient world of Pompeii Archaeological Park, appreciate the extensive heritage of Via Caracciolo e Lungomare di Napoli, contemplate the long history of Parco Acheologico di Ercolano, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Duomo di Napoli.

Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sat): explore the activities along Canal Grande, see the interesting displays at Doge's Palace, contemplate the long history of Ponte dei Sospiri, then don't miss a visit to Piazza San Marco, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Scala Contarini del Bovolo. Keep things going the next day: take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, explore the world behind art at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and then admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco.
