Porthmadog, known locally as "Port", and since 1974, rendered into Welsh from its former Anglicised form, Portmadoc, is a small coastal town and community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd, in Wales. On the 23rd (Thu), contemplate the long history of Portmeirion Village, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Morfa Bychan - Black Rock Sands, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Harlech Beach.

Llandudno is a seaside resort, town and community in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located on the Creuddyn peninsula, which protrudes into the Irish Sea. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Fri): take in nature's colorful creations at Bodnant Garden, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Tudnos Church, then explore the striking landscape at Great Orme, and finally take in the waterfront at Llandudno Pier. On your second day here, get engrossed in the history at National Slate Museum, then step into the grandiose world of Penrhyn Castle (National Trust), and then go for a walk through Llandudno Promenade.

You can drive from Porthmadog to Llandudno in 1.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 22°C in July, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sat) early enough to catch the train back home.
