Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.
Venture out of the city with trips to Haarlem (Sint-Bavokerk (Church of St. Bavo) & Grote Markt), Delft (Old Church & Gemeenlandshuis van Delfland) and The Hague (Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights) & The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Gallery). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Van Gogh Museum, see the interesting displays at Anne Frank House, admire the landmark architecture of Royal Palace Amsterdam, and get curious at NEMO Science Museum.

Auckland, New Zealand to Amsterdam is an approximately 27-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of bus and flight. You'll gain 11 hours traveling from Auckland to Amsterdam due to the time zone difference. Change things up with a short trip to Pierre Marcolini in Antwerp (about 40 minutes away). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Grand Place, browse the exhibits of Belgian Comic Strip Center, see the interesting displays at Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Michel et Ste-Gudule).

Getting from Brussels to Bruges by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Bruges can reach 25°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to London.
