Hoorn is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Change things up with these side-trips from Hoorn: Enkhuizen (Zuiderzeemuseum, Sprookjeswonderland, & more), Schermerhorn (Museummolen Schermerhorn & Schermer Mills) and Volendam (Marina Volendam, Foto de Boer, & more). Pack the 23rd (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Slagharen. Spend the 6th (Sun) exploring nature at National park Dwingelderveld. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museum Stoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik, learn about all things military at Marinemuseum, take a stroll through Historische binnenstad Leeuwarden, and have fun and explore at Stoomtram.
