  • This leads off from the Stone Circle at Avebury into the distant landscape that, apparently, was once covered in other sacred sites too. Where the original stones have gone - perhaps to be broken...  more »
  • Who knows why this was designed and built but it must have been of significance to those who did it. This i part of the Avebury World Heritage site and well worth exploring by foot.  more »

  • Very unique experience walking so close to these historic stones and surreal feeling to be able to walk the avenue and touch the stones (better than Stonehenge in that way). Our little daughter had a great day out exploring the scenery and visiting neighbouring attractions, it was actually her recommendation from a school lesson that resulted in us knowing about the place and making the trip!
  • Interesting partial remains of ancient standing stone avenue. Good for history buffs and walkers.
