University of Cambridge, Cambridge

4.6
Admire architecture, landscaping, and education at its finest at University of Cambridge, the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. The institution's 31 colleges and six schools sit fairly close to one another, but you'll often see students going to and from by bicycle. Of particular note is the Great Court of King's College, which features a sprawling green lawn and 16th-century perpendicular Gothic English architecture, as exemplified by the King's College chapel. The oldest colleges were founded in the 13th century, with the very oldest being Peterhouse, dating from 1284. The Cam River runs through the campus and is traversed by multiple bridges; cross over the Bridge of Sighs at St. John's College and the Mathematical Bridge at Queen's College, and keep your eye out for the resident swans. You are free to wander the grounds, but be aware that some colleges charge an entrance fee and access may be limited during the school term. • I had a long dream of going to Cambridge University and that was fulfilled last month. One of my relatives has helped me to move around the university. We took a shuttle service to enter inside the campus then we walked. It was a nice experience to walk on a rainy afternoon. We visited some of the most famous colleges in Cambridge and few chapels.
  • University of Cambridge is really scenic. The weather cooperated which helped the walk. I came here for a walk and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I also took a tour on the canoe on the river. Just pleasant and relaxing. Staff and people in general were really friendly and willing to help. Hopefully, in the future I can come here and do my schooling.
