At first glance, Casbah Coffee Club appears to be an ordinary English house. It is, however, nothing of the kind. In fact, this heritage-listed building boasts the honor of being the first venue where the Quarrymen--later the Beatles--played. Tours of the club are often given by Roag (pronounced "Rory") Best, brother to Pete Best, the original drummer (before Ringo Starr joined the group). See Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison's original artwork on the walls and hear personal anecdotes relating to the Fab Four. Due to the small size of the venue, reservations are essential. Combine the visit with "The Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour" for the complete Beatles experience. Bit disappointed at the door staff.. You can't come in . It'll cost you £15. Very professional I must say... And the grounds needed a tidy up. And the bin bags piled high at the front gate.....
