Battersea Park Children's Zoo, London

#33 of 183 in Parks in London
Battersea Park Children’s Zoo can be found by the picturesque riverside walk in leafy Battersea Park. It is an exciting animal experience that combines a zoo, animal encounters, large well equipped play area, gift shop and café.

Amongst the animals you can see are cheeky monkeys, noisy otters, leaping lemurs, nosey meerkats and farmyard favourites.

At the weekend and during the school holidays visitors can watch the animals eat at set feeding times; a chance to see the otters dive for their fish or the meerkats come running, tails in the air, for their favourite treat.

Visitors can also take part by helping the friendly animal keepers to feed the farm animals.

The perfect venue for a family outing.

  • Excellent for kids! We had a great day out, plenty to see and a comprehensive set of play areas for kids to interact with and enjoy. Particularly enjoyed the pirate boats although this costs a £1 per go. Decent parking very close to the Zoo, reasonably priced for downtown. Staff members were polite, particularly the young man who served us on entry. Super well mannered and made us feel welcome.
  • Fantastic zoo for children. Just enough animals to keep them entertained but not too many so they get tired. Feeding time was great and very informative. The playground is one of the best we have been to and the kids will play for hours! Great day out.
