Berry Bros. & Rudd (BBR) is a family-run British wine and spirits merchant founded in London in 1698. Since then, the company has grown from a small coffee shop into an international business with six offices worldwide.

As well as the finest wines, such as en primeur from places like Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône and Italy, the company also sells wines and spirits under its own-label range, Berry Bros. & Rudd's Own Selection.

Other services it offers include wine investment, wine storage, wine tastings, events and educational courses. Berry Bros. & Rudd currently employs six Masters of Wine, more than any other company in the world.

  • I purchased wine from their BBX wines, although their site clearly says there are no buyers fees, my £220 purchase had a follow up bill of £77 for vat and bond fees, then 10 days later another bill...  more »

  • It's a shame the star rating can't be higher as I was really impressed with BB&R. From the outside one could get the impression this is a pretentious place where only the well heeled would frequent, how wrong you would be. This is long established business dating back centuries, the approachable and lovely staff are very knowledgeable and willing to answer the simplest of questions while having the experience to advise the most experienced sommeliers. It's a long time since I felt so welcomed in a store without the pressure for a sale, but as this is such a fine wine shop with an amazing variety it seems a shame to visit and not to take something to quaff back at home :-)). Brilliant brilliant place :-))))
  • I decided to buy en primeur wines from BB&R and was initially pleased with the process. Unfortunately, this year BB&R decided to introduce a minimum charge of £41.40 for storing wines with them. That meant I was paying £41.40 for 24 bottles! No logic or justification offered, just greed. Their charges were already 50% a case higher that the Wine Society and this latest move means that it is totally uneconomic for a small scale buyer to use their services. Perhaps that is their objective? This is a company that has lost its way. Try the Wine Society instead.
