  • A lovely, relaxing and fragrant tropical oasis with plenty of vegetable essences inspired by the history and geography of Canary Wharf. Many of the plants are native to the countries where they operated the ships of "West India Dock Company" and were planted respecting the geographical area of origin: plants of Asian origin in the eastern part of the Roof Garden and those native to the Americas in the West. Really an interesting project, beautiful to see and experience.

  • I have recently visited the Crossrail Roof Garden, once in the rain and once in the dry. The building is a brilliant design with an open roof over most of the gardens which are full of mature and exot...  more »

  • Really nice place to visit and relax. Very easy to find as well. Did think it was bigger and at the top of one of the very big buildings as that's what it appeared to look like from photos and reviews online. Otherwise it's a nice place
  • One of my favourite places in the area to come for a bit of peace and quiet, hidden away from the busy streets below. You can find a wide variety of unique plants of various sizes and species in the garden, with helpful boards describing each of the areas the plants represent. The garden is easily accessible both by escalators and lifts, with one main pathway connecting the two restaurants at either end of the garden and two twisty side paths connecting to the main path. There's plenty of seating available to relax and the whole area is covered by a beautiful glass roof, held up with wooden beams but with plenty of open space so you still feel like you're outdoors while being protected from heavy wind and rain. The garden is open every day, from early morning to late evenings (with good lighting throughout when it gets dark) and toilets are available below in the Crossrail station.
