Myatt’s Fields Park is run by a charity called Myatt’s Fields Park Project in partnership with Lambeth Council.

Our mission is to grow a green and healthy neighbourhood by providing a beautiful environment, along with events, food, wellbeing, education and enterprise projects that meet the needs of our diverse area. We see the park as a true community hub, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds.

MFPP was started by a group of park users in 2000, becoming a charity in 2005. In the past MFPP worked alongside the council, managing additional activities, including the cafe and the greenhouse and events programme. In the wake of budget cuts Lambeth were looking at innovative ways of running green spaces and in September 2015 they handed over to MFPP.

Since then we’ve collaborated with the council to develop Myatt’s Fields as a Pioneer Park, receiving support to become financially sustainable by hiring spaces for weddings and events, and working with businesses.

We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved. In 2010 we raised £3 million to renovate the park, providing a new playground, children’s building and toilets. We've supported local groups and individuals through our greenhouse and community programmes exploring world food history.

But we depend on YOUR ideas, time, skills, contacts and support to keep the park bursting with life! To find out more about how you can get involved, visit our website www.myattsfieldspark.info or email manager@myattsfieldspark.info

  • When we arrived at the park it was lovely and sunny but as the day progressed the clouds arrived and completely ruined the day. I will be writing a strongly worded letter to my councilor. It's disgust...  more »
  • Just a nice place to be. To walk around and then to take time out at the café. Lots of effort being made with kids play areas, wildlife areas, sports areas and a public allotment.  more »

  • I have the privilege of seeing the changes in this park for several decades. The park is essentially the same in many ways, they have kept to tradition. What's changed is the community. It's so nice to see this is a hub of activity for so many families from so many parts of the world. Well done to the all keepers over all the years who have kept and help to keep the park looking so nice. Don't forget to enjoy the cafe hidden away at the back by the tennis courts.
  • Small, attractive little park, situated in Camberwell. A great place to take the dog for a walk as there is quite a community of dog walkers around there. The small cafe does excellent coffee and snacks, but it can get quite busy at the weekends, so there is sometimes quite a queue there. It has a fenced off hard surface tennis court, along with an attractive little bandstand.
