Sky Garden Reviews
The views from floor 35 are fantastic. It's a pity we couldn't go to the terrace because of strong wind but the building and the atmosphere are awesome. It's worth booking it in advance - it's free :) more »
Cafe was good but very cold inside, stunning views though. 7 of us booked the lower restaurant for my 60th birthday. 3 had the sole and was asked if we wanted it boned. Saying yes when we all tried..... more »
If you have a planned visit for London I would highly recommend booking the Sky garden. Booking is free however it has to be done about 2 weeks in advanced. The place really is amazing with 360 views of London, great for photos. When we went it was quite busy but it actually meant there was a really nice environment and there was enough seating which was really comfy. There's a bar which serves light bites and hot drinks. As I'm not from London it did seem quite expensive but the coffee and pastries we had were tasty. I think if you visit London this is one of the best placed to go, it's much better than the Shard for example which costs about £20.
Book! If you are wanting to go to the Sky Garden, book your tickets. Although it is walk-in entry after a certain time, I would recommend selecting a time slot. For the best views and photographs get a time slot that is around an hour or 45 minutes before the sunset, as the balcony closes after dark. This will give you time to view the city along the river in the light. It will allow you to see the sun setting below the horizon. And then you will witness the brightness of London in the dark. I am yet to have a meal in the restaurant, but the bar was surprisingly inexpensive for where you are, and the staff are very friendly. So don't be afraid to sit down, with a drink in hand, and take in the views.
