Surround yourself with history and a calming garden at St. Dunstan in the East Church Garden. Although bombed out in World War II, the 12th-century church grounds were converted into a lovely garden teeming with green walkways, native vegetation, and old trees. Step away from the heart of London into the gardens, and admire the remains of the church--including a steeple designed by Christopher Wren at the turn of the 18th century. Look for a plant called winter's bark, whose vitamin C-rich leaves used to be consumed to prevent scurvy. Pack a picnic to get the most from this peaceful setting. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, London holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the St. Dunstan in the East Church Garden and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

St. Dunstan in the East Church Garden Reviews
more »Founded in 1100, the Church of The Church was destroyed in large numbers during the Second World War, and has now become a public flower park for the history and culture of history and culture. Truly Magical place in the Heart of London. It's almost unbelievable that surrounded by so many tourist attractions it's not getting more attention. I've actually stumbled upon this place and enjoyed couple of minutes there sitting on a bench and looking at some blooming tree. You can easily Google some facts about this place but it's not that easy to find.
For a church that has stood since 1100AD, survived the Great Fire of 1666, and many other calamities, only to be destroyed in the Blit, its ruins are wonderful to be around. This Grade I listed building is a very tranquil place, close to the City of London, where you can sit in relative peace and enjoy the gardens and water fountain. There are plenty of benches and small lawn areas, to sit and enjoy lunch and forget about your worries.
