#335 of 1,211 in Nightlife in London
The city's renowned game restaurant, from brothers Ed and Tom Martin of ETM Group, responsible for award-winning London venues such as The Botanist, Chiswell Street Dining Rooms and Aviary Roof Terrace.

Forming part of the famous old Grade II listed Whitbread Brewery, Jugged Hare is a British gastro pub with an open kitchen, dining room and a private events space downstairs.

You can watch the kitchen team prepare and serve their food from a state-of-the art eight-spit rotisserie as well as a charcoal grill. Seasonal game, meat and wild fish and shellfish are roasted and grilled on a daily basis, along with our famous Sunday roasts.

  • Very classy pub in the heart of London. Can be busy on Thursday and over the weekend as is placed very close to big corporations and Barbican centre. People prefer to have a drink after theatre or concert dinner. It is one of the cleaniest pubs in London so far. I love their White Russian cocktail but also the other drinks they offer. Do not expect very fancy cocktails because it's still a pub and not a cocktail bar.
  • Handy pub located where there aren't many pubs around. The drinks are slightly expensive. It's a small pub - There's not much standing space near the bar or many tables with seats, so it's always a squeeze at busy times. There is a separate gourmet restaurant attached with plenty of tables but which is always full as it's very popular. In the summer there is extra seating across the road in a space with some artificial turf and some tables.
