Beer Taps on the table to poor your own beer & cider. iPads on each table at the Thirsty Bear allow you to place orders for food and drinks; to surf the internet; to select tracks on the bar’s Jukebox and to do something you possibly didn’t think of (though you probably did): buy beer that you can then instantly dispense from the tap on your table. The Thirsty Bear is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, London Edition.
The Thirsty Bear food options include: burgers, homemade soups, slow-cooked BBQ ribs, sliders, fresh beer-battered haddock and the drinks menu, fortunately (for anyone unlikely to be tempted into drinking a pint, whether they pour it themselves or not) extends beyond beer into a growing cocktail list.
The Thirsty Bear Reviews
Vi råkade släntra förbi vid lunchtid och stannade. Ett riktigt lyckokast! Perfekt mat för tre vuxna och två yngre på 12 och nio. Snyggt presenterat och mycket välsmakande. Nicely presented and very tasty. Grandpa to Fish ' n chips... It was a lot of perfectly fried fish. The children and the daughter ate burgers... Very good and perfectly cooked. Grandma ate salad with grilled chicken. All five were/are very satisfied with the food and the hospitality.
Really tasty lunch... 2 burgers, one side of fries and the most generous and tasty looking kids fish and chips ever! ( can’t say about taste as son demolished the lot!) Coke and two pints all for £30.... more »
Solid selection of beer and ale. TVs with sport on dotted about. Charming decor and staff. And the food was really good and more than reasonably priced. Interestingly, you could order via a touch screen and pour your own pint at your table, but I was not sold on that idea - still a novelty that didn't ruin the experience as the staff were more than ready to come and take our order with pad and pen.
Great pub with a easy ordering system meaning you don't have to call members of staff over or even leave your seat! Went here to watch a rugby match recently, there are loads of screens to watch on; including a massive pull down one. The food was absolutely delicious with the chicken burger being on point. My only down point is that they served cola instead of coke, but still charged premium prices for it. Only a minor thing though.
